Emergency call to hemp fiber farmers for samples

We believe we have a winning design to produce ribbon hemp & call upon the iHemp community at large in an attempt to obtain green stalks of monoecious or other dual-purpose variety to sample in our ribbon decorticator.

The stalks should be dry but not retted & sown between 30-40 seeds per square foot. Ideally, we would like to see them grown in 8″ rows, similar to corn but beggars can’t be choosers. Our design includes a degumming section that allows the fiber to be taken right off the field fresh. Starting production with a stationary plant will allow us to perfect the system before we take it out to the field to combine with harvesting the crop.

The stems should be cut off squarely, 6″ off the ground then again @ 5 feet & we will happily test them for you. By documenting a successful test, should finally be able to prove to the world that ribbon decortication has finally come onto the scene & will begin to change the way the world consumes & stores carbon.
